Eight separate areas were collected, with one area, Odiorne, in April of 2024 and the rest in April of 2025. The DEMs created from the lidar point clouds and the imagery collected are available through the bulk download site, but not through the custom download site. These products are as-is and have not had rigorous QA/QC. This data set contains point cloud data(' in LAZ (compressed LAS) format', ''). The data may have been reprojected or otherwise modified from the original data in an automated process. Disregard projection information in this abstract and refer to the spatial reference section. purpose: The purpose of these lidar data was to produce high accuracy 3D elevation products which will support various modeling, including modeling of the bare earth surface. credit: Great Bay NERR The custom download may be cited as National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Digital Coast Data Access Viewer. Data acquisition occurred within plus or minus 1 hour of predicted low tides, and during leaf-off conditions. Ground control was provided using a total of ten (10) Propeller Aeropoints distributed evenly across each site. Each Aeropoint had a minimum occupation time of 1 hour. dateTime: DateTime: 2025-04-01T00:00:00 processStep: (LI_ProcessStep) description: Acquired lidar was post-processed using LiDARMill, a cloud based lidar software by Phoenix LiDAR Systems. Trajectories were first post-processed through LidarMill's NavLab module to apply both GNSS and IMU corrections to the trajectories. LiDARMill's Spatial Fuser Pipeline then uses the trajectory data generated by NavLab, combined with LiDAR and imagery data, to generate a calibrated, classified and colorized point cloud. Global Mapper v26.1 was used to classify the .las into the following classes using automated and manual workflows, as follows: Class 1 = Unclassified Class 2 = Ground Class 7 = Low Noise Finally a 1-ft Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was created in Blue Marble GlobalMapper v26.1 using a minimum value binning (bin size = 6) grid method, and output as a 32-bit floating-point GeoTIFF formatted raster. No breaklines or hydroflattening processes were developed or applied to the DEM. dateTime: DateTime: 2025-05-01T00:00:00 processStep: (LI_ProcessStep) description: Lidar point cloud data was received by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) for provisioning via the Digital Coast. For ingest into the Data Access Viewer, the data were reverse transformed to geographic coordinates in ellipsoid heights, removing the projection and the GEOID18 geoid model. The NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) also received 1 raster DEM file in GeoTiff format from the Great Bay NERR. The bare earth raster file was at a 1 foot grid spacing. The data were in NH State Plane NAD83 (2011), US survey feet coordinates and NAVD88 (Geoid18) elevations in US survey feet. OCM assigned the appropriate EPSG codes (Horiz - 6525, Vert - 6360) and copied the raster files to https for Digital Coast storage and provisioning purposes. dateTime: DateTime: 2025-08-11T00:00:00 processor: (CI_ResponsibleParty) organisationName: NOAA Office for Coastal Management contactInfo: (CI_Contact) phone: (CI_Telephone) voice: (843) 740-1202 address: (CI_Address) electronicMailAddress: coastal.info@noaa.gov role: (CI_RoleCode) processor source: (LI_Source) sourceCitation: (CI_Citation) title: Processed and classified lidar data date: (CI_Date) date: 2025-08-11 dateType: (CI_DateTypeCode) publication citedResponsibleParty: (CI_ResponsibleParty) organisationName: Great Bay NERR role: (CI_RoleCode) originator processStep: (LI_ProcessStep) description: The dataset has been mosaiced, reprojected, and clipped as needed from the original input files using PDAL and GDAL commands. dateTime: DateTime: 2025-08-20 processor: (CI_ResponsibleParty) individualName: NOAA Office for Coastal Management contactInfo: (CI_Contact) address: (CI_Address) electronicMailAddress: coastal.info@noaa.gov role: (CI_RoleCode) processor return to top metadataConstraints: (MD_LegalConstraints) accessConstraints: (MD_RestrictionCode) otherRestrictions otherConstraints: This data set was compiled dynamically.
