The imagery was acquired utilizing 9 x 9" film camera. Ground control used to support the mapping was collected by identifying strategic locations on the aerial photography plan and then determining the coordinates by GPS ground survey techniques. The aerial triangulation was performed using softcopy workstations. Bundle adjustment was performed using standard photogrammetric collection techniques on softcopy workstations. Digital terrain models were created using LIDAR and photogrammetrically compiled data. Contours were generated from the DTM data and reviewed for continuity to ensure no gaps or voids. dateTime: DateTime: 2007-01-01T00:00:00 processStep: (LI_ProcessStep) description: The NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) downloaded topographic files in LAZ format from the website for William and Mary's Center for Geospatial Analysis. The files contained lidar easting, northing, elevation, intensity, return number, class, scan angle and GPS time measurements; the data was received in state plane Virginia South (in feet) and vertical coordinates were referenced to NAVD88 in feet using the Geoid03 model. OCM performed the following processing for data storage and Digital Coast provisioning purposes: 1. The All-Return LAZ were combined with Bare-earth return LAZ files and unclassified unique XYZ points were removed, essentially translating ground points into the All-Return files 2. The LAZ files were checked for errors and bad elevations then fixed (also removing variable length records) 2. The LAZ files were converted from a Projected Coordinate System (SP 4502) to a Geographic Coordinate system (NAD83) 3.
