Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) regularly uses digital topographic information to support regulatory, land management and acquisition, planning, engineering and habitat restoration projects. LiDAR data will support hydrologic modeling activities associated with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and in the creation of Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRM). This data set is an LAZ (compressed LAS) format file containing LIDAR point cloud data. purpose: LiDAR data will support the creation of Federal Emergency Management Agency Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FEMA FIRM) and integrated ground and surface water model for the Lake Manatee Watershed. status: (MD_ProgressCode) completed pointOfContact: (CI_ResponsibleParty) organisationName: NOAA Office for Coastal Management contactInfo: (CI_Contact) phone: (CI_Telephone) voice: (843) 740-1202 address: (CI_Address) deliveryPoint: 2234 South Hobson Ave city: Charleston administrativeArea: SC postalCode: 29405-2413 country: (missing) electronicMailAddress: coastal.info@noaa.gov onlineResource: (CI_OnlineResource) linkage: https://coast.noaa.gov protocol: WWW:LINK-1.0-http--link name: NOAA Office for Coastal Management Website description: NOAA Office for Coastal Management Home Page function: (CI_OnLineFunctionCode) information role: (CI_RoleCode) pointOfContact pointOfContact: (CI_ResponsibleParty) organisationName: NOAA Office for Coastal Management contactInfo: (CI_Contact) phone: (CI_Telephone) voice: (843) 740-1202 address: (CI_Address) deliveryPoint: 2234 South Hobson Ave city: Charleston administrativeArea: SC postalCode: 29405-2413 country: (missing) electronicMailAddress: coastal.info@noaa.gov onlineResource: (CI_OnlineResource) linkage: https://coast.noaa.gov protocol: WWW:LINK-1.0-http--link name: NOAA Office for Coastal Management Website description: NOAA Office for Coastal Management Home Page function: (CI_OnLineFunctionCode) information role: (CI_RoleCode) custodian resourceMaintenance: (MD_MaintenanceInformation) maintenanceAndUpdateFrequency: (MD_MaintenanceFrequencyCode) asNeeded graphicOverview: (MD_BrowseGraphic) fileName: https://noaa-nos-coastal-lidar-pds.s3.amazonaws.com/laz/geoid18/3677/supplemental/fl2012_swfwmd_lakemanatee_m3677.kmz fileDescription: This graphic shows the coverage of the 2012 SWFWMD Lake Manatee Lidar in Florida fileType: kmz descriptiveKeywords: (MD_Keywords) keyword: FEMA keyword: Florida keyword: SWFWMD keyword: hydrologic type: (MD_KeywordTypeCode) theme descriptiveKeywords: (MD_Keywords) keyword: 2012 keyword: May type: (MD_KeywordTypeCode) temporal descriptiveKeywords: (MD_Keywords) keyword: Lidar - partner (no harvest) type: (MD_KeywordTypeCode) project thesaurusName: (CI_Citation) title: InPort date: (inapplicable) resourceConstraints: (MD_LegalConstraints) useConstraints: (MD_RestrictionCode) otherRestrictions otherConstraints: Cite As: OCM Partners, [Date of Access]: 2012 Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) Lidar: Lake Manatee [Data Date Range], https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/inport/item/49704. resourceConstraints: (MD_Constraints) useLimitation: NOAA provides no warranty, nor accepts any liability occurring from any incomplete, incorrect, or misleading data, or from any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading use of the data. The raw GPS and IMU data was processed against NGS CORS stations and Static Base Stations using Leica IPAS Pro software to produce post processed trajectory files. These files were used with the raw scan files in Leica ALS software to created LAS data projected in US State Plane Coordinate system, Florida West (902) in US feet. The LAS data is then calibrated using TerraMatch and filtered using TerraScan. The filtered LAS data and control points provided by SWFWMD were loaded into Earth Eye EarthShaper software and analyzed against the LiDAR ground classified points to produce a control report. The results of the report provided an accuracy assessment which yielded an RMSEz of 0.1938 Feet. This baseline report provided sufficient accuracy to support a 1 foot contour accuracy. dateTime: DateTime: 2012-01-01T00:00:00 processStep: (LI_ProcessStep) description: The NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) received the topographic lidar files in LAS format from SWFWMD. The files contained lidar easting, northing, elevation, intensity, return number, etc. The data was received in Florida State Plane West 0902 (US ft) and NAVD88 (US ft). OCM performed the following processing for data storage and Digital Coast provisioning purposes: 1. The files were reviewed and erroneous elevations were removed. If the elevations were class 7, noise they remained. 2. Class 30 points (reserved for ASPRS definition) were reclassified to Class 10 (ground within 10ft of a breakline) to fit OCM DAV class scheme. dateTime: DateTime: 2014-09-24T00:00:00 source: (LI_Source) description: Source Contribution: This dataset was constructed by the LiDAR vendor to the SWFWMD | Type of Source Media: computer program scaleDenominator: (MD_RepresentativeFraction) denominator: 6000 sourceCitation: (CI_Citation) title: SWFWMD DTM/LiDAR Dataset date: (missing) sourceExtent: (EX_Extent) temporalElement: (EX_TemporalExtent) extent: TimeInstant: timePosition: 2012 processStep: (LI_ProcessStep) description: The vertical values in this data set have been converted to reference North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) (GEOID18) meters, using the GEOID18 grids provided by the National Geodetic Survey.
